MSN Messenger 5 and 6 have a banner ad at the bottom that is most annoying for you get plagued by pop-ups. The pop-up info is stored at: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Temp Where USERNAME is your profiles login. Open links.txt in notepad and clear all the contents of it and save it. In Messenger 5, that's adequate. In 6, it appears you have to make it read-only as well after you save it. In case you don't know, right-click on the file, click properties, and check the Readonly Box (see picture 1).
